Kailey's scripture...

As mentioned in a previous posting I have chosen scriptures for each of my kids to pray over them. In the story before I told how each of the boys came along. If you care to read that check it out here http://crosbyspalace.blogspot.com/2006/04/andrews-scripture.html.

Well just for those who don't know I will put all the scriptures on here.

AC's - Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you." declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Trace's - Psalm 127:3 Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.

Andrew's - James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights , who does not change like shifting shadows.

And now for Kailey's...

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

This verse was chosen because I believe it paints one of the most magnificent pictures. How amazing a thought that our Lord, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords takes such delight in us that he rejoices over us with singing. I participated (or tried to) in a summer musical and we sang a song that sang of Christ singing and dancing over us. Well through out the practices Steve (our Music Pastor) had us do devotionals over the different songs and I chose this song. I found this scripture and it has just stuck with me ever since. When she was delivered the thought that my Lord and saviour is rejoicing over my daughter like I was, was just an absolutely amazing picture. I didn't really think about this scripture being Her scripture until I was praying about it last Sunday and I opened my bible and sure enough there it was. I showed it to my mom and she agreed that it was perfect for my little girl.

I hope that I never forget what amazing gifts my children are and that these scriptures continue to remind me daily that God chose them for me and me for them, and he planned it. Its all in his perfect will that my children are my children and that I am their mother!!! I thank God that he uses little reminders each day to keep me from quitting and giving up when I am exhausted and think that there must be a mistake I'm not made to handle it all. It can be a little smile from my kids or an amazing unexpected hug. Picking up my bible and seeing their scriptures or rereading a previous post I wrote a while ago.

So Sweet!

The first two are pics I took of her smiling.

The next two I took in December just because she looked so cute in the outfit picked out by her daddy and me.

The last one is of how angelic she looks when she does sleep.

Daddy's Girl

Our sweet Kailey is growing up way to fast! She will be 2 months a week from today. Well we experienced one of her firsts yesterday, January 10th. (I put the date in for my own purposes.) She has been randomly smiling for a couple of weeks now but yesterday she interactively smiled at her daddy. RC was talking to her and she smiled. He stopped talking to her and she stopped smiling. He started talking to her again and sure enough there was that beautiful smile again. Then when he got home last night she was in her swing and just followed him around the room with those gorgeous big brown eyes. Oh and this morning he walks into the living room and talks to me, she started crying until he came and talked to her, then there was that heart stopping smile. RC is so in trouble because that little Ladybug has her daddy wrapped around her little pinkie and there is nothing her daddy wouldn't do for her!

Psalm 23

Okay for those of you who don't know, I belong to a bible study called The Well. Our leader Susie sends out emails each week to inspire us in between meetings. Well she sent this one and like her I just had to pass it on.
Thought for the Week

I wrote out an entire Thought last night, but didn’t like it. It felt uninspired and quite honestly, it depressed me to read it and I wrote the darn thing! But I received something today written by a dear sister in Christ, Barbara Robinson, which is her exegesis of the 23rd Psalm, and I’m not sure there are many theologians or preachers who could explain this psalm any better. So I want to share with you the simple, yet profound truths and realities found in this timeless passage as Barbara has understood them:

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd – That’s RELATIONSHIP!
I shall not want – That’s SUPPLY!
He maketh me lie down in green pastures – That’s REST!
He leadeth me beside the still waters – That’s REFRESHMENT!
He restoreth my soul – That’s HEALING!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness – That’s GUIDANCE!
For His Name’s sake – That’s PURPOSE!
Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death – That’s TESTING!
I will fear no evil – That’s PROTECTION!
For Thou art with me – That’s FAITHFULNESS!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me – That’s DISCIPLINE!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies – That’s HOPE!
Thou anointest my head with oil – That’s CONSECRATION!
My cup runneth over – That’s ABUNDANCE!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life – That’s BLESSING!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord – That’s SECURITY!
Forever – That’s ETERNITY!

What is most valuable is not what we have in our lives, but Who we have in our lives!
